Dec 16, 2011
This year our goal is to pass out 100 150 turkeys at the Dec 22nd Food Pantry with a box of holiday meal food. We partner with the Community Food Bank and others for rest of the box of food for this special give-away. We’re going to need your help to put turkeys in each of those boxes.
We’ll be receiving all the frozen turkeys here on Wednesday night, December 21st, from 6pm to 8pm. If you can’t bring a turkey or two, but want to help provide turkeys, someone will do the shopping for you – mark your donation “Turkeys of Love” and put it in the offering basket on Sunday, or use the online DONATE button. There’s a memo field in the DONATE button (at the upper right of this screen) as you confirm at PayPal that you can mark it for Turkeys of Love.
Loreen Paynter and a team of workers will be coordinating this huge food blessing for our community on Wednesday night and Thursday morning. If you can help during these times, please fill out a connection card, mark it Food Pantry Team help, and put it in the offering basket. We’ll get back to you early this week!
It’s these personal touches to outreach that mean so much to people who might otherwise go without. Bless you for giving of your time, your talents, and your treasure in Jesus’ name.
